![]() ![]() I cant wait to bump the tune up to #2 (100hp at best*) and see how she shifts under some pedal. As of this post I have about 300 miles with dozens and dozens or 2,3,4,5,6 shifts. I guess my truck had learned to drive with the old trans with faulty pump and TC that its taking a bit to relearn it all. The 4th& Lockup shift gets smoother and smoother even though it's quite a change in rpm and torque. I do notice that my truck is relearning this new trans. ![]() One quick down shift to 5th or a speed up to 75mph to higher Rpms brought it back to around 177ish. The temps were in the 183-185 mark when in 6th luged down at like 60mph (at the tuned shift point) for a peroid of time. I was seeing temps between 176-185 (stock was 165-175). I have the deep pan on this but noticed the temps run about 10F hotter. Since I'm still in the break in period I have not pushed the pedal down in 6th to make it up shift into 5th Then you were in 5th unlocked for about 2 seconds then you feel the TC relock with a little bump. From 6th you had to let is ease off to about 49-50mph before it would upshift. 6th was also smooth with the smallest flair of about 25rpm and drops rpm from 1750rpm to 1250rpm.ĭown shifts was a different story. So then from about 32mph to 50mph is all 4th locked then shifts into 5th. It droped rpm from 1750rpm to about 1050rpm. ![]() Lock up was at 30mph and I believe is lockup and 4th together. Upon my initial drive I noticed you can feel all the shifts. My tuned shifts points at light throttle are 1st go, 2nd 10mph, 3rd 20mph, 4th & Lockup at 30mph, 5th 50mph, & 6th 60mph This was all under light throttle on Hardway CSP4 tune set at #1 (30hp). Also have no CEL on dash.Yesterday I was at Hardway performance and had my Suncoast jr installed. Trying to get as much Information to you guys can think of. Came across it possibly being a bad crank sensor causing this issue? Or is it possible I could have a bad injector or one starting to go? I don't have any sort of monitor for the truck and don't know the rail pressure off hand but something I am concerned about. I've been reading alot online and trying to figure this out but kinda stumped what to replace or check next. Is my truck going into limp mode in the morning for some reason? Me being new to this truck thought maybe this issue was something that might get resolved with one of the sensors I replaced or the new charger but still the same after the fact. But now by the time comes I leave from work 330-4ish (8-9hrs later) I get in my truck and start the drive home the truck drives completely different, very smooth, great response, boost comes on just about instantly etc. I know it take a long time for these to warm up n get to operation temp but this is 60-70° weather at night not winter. I drive 18miles one way to work (25-30mins) and about time I get to work it is better but still not completely gone. To what I am concerned about, when I start the truck in the AM to go to work for 7am I always normally start it few mins before driving give it a minute to get "cycled/lubrication" before driving but for when I start to drive the truck runs bit rough and isn't smooth almost like it's in some sort of limp mode? Throttle response is slow, acceleration slow and the boost comes on slow also. Just about everything I read about that could effect how the truck ran. (Had the work done by a very reptiable diesel shop in my area) When got the truck went over everything I thought could use freshening up, oil, fuel filter, seperator filter (used Mopar/oem), NEW map sensor, exhaust pressure sensor, fuel control actuator. Had the work done to the truck and had a fleece cheetah charger installed along with replacement/built 68rfe from firepunk. Low n behold truck ended up needing a turbo and trans. Fully deleted, w/ PPEI Tuning, stock fuel, AFE CAI and 5" exhaust back, (still has stock intake horn) About 6months ago purchased used 2014 2500 6.7 Cummins with 180k on it with 68rfe. Hey guys, Wanna start off the post mentioning this is my first Diesel truck and new to the whole diesel world so kinda struggling to figure this issue out, doing alot of learning as I go. ![]()
